Abstract: The “Out of the City” project offers young people from peripheral areas the opportunity to engage in dialogue on employment and to contribute to the design of initiatives tailored to the local context. The goal is to jointly create new opportunities for participation in educational and social activities, strengthening the role of youth workers and making their impact within communities more visible.
At the end of the activities, which are carried out over a 24-month period, a new working methodology will be presented for the benefit of youth workers operating in less urbanized areas, with the aim of providing concrete, adaptable, and high-quality tools.
The project promotes the exchange of experiences and good practices among the partners involved through three main lines of action:

• the training of youth workers and other stakeholders interested in developing interventions in rural areas; the promotion and dissemination of innovative approaches to youth work, also in synergy with Erasmus+ programmes;
• the direct involvement of young people and local communities to raise awareness about the importance of youth work and to encourage participation in activities, through study visits and training courses.

“OOTC” aims to build a shared and replicable methodology, developed collaboratively, that responds to the real needs of young people and can be applied across different national contexts.
